This infographic looks at the reasons to include TV advertising as part of your marketing mix. TV advertising and especially DRTV (Direct Response TV advertising) gets the most from any marketing budget. The infographic shows how Live TV dominates the video viewing market with a 52% share compared to only 11% and 1.2% market share for platforms like YouTube and Facebook. Live TV is also watched by a massive 95.6% of ABC adults each week. ABC1 viewers are essential to TV advertisers as they are the more affluent households with more money to spend.

Another area the infographic looks at is the trust relationship between viewers/readers and various entertainment platforms. Again TV comes out on top when viewers were asked which medium they trusted most. 48% of viewers trust TV. This trust is important to advertisers as adverts are less likely to be skipped if viewers believe the platform showing them.

This index measures how much money needs to be spent for a return on investment. These options include Brand advertising, direct response online and DRTV (direct response TV advertising) DRTV wins the efficiency index with less money needed for a return when using DRTV over the other options.
