The Ins & Outs of CAM [Infographic]

Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) is the process of simplifying and automating CNC processing and 3D printing with computer software. The software sends the design data to a 3D printer or CNC machine, and the device creates the design according to the instructions. The two types of CAMs used in various industries are subtraction (materials that do not include materials) and additives (add materials to create designs).

CAM has many unique advantages, such as simple implementation, complex design and production, improved accuracy, and elimination of unnecessary waste. When considering CAM, we will examine how this process can help simplify the design and manufacturing process.
